In plain language

This experiment tested if a system that favors cooperation by default still works when the starting order of participants is changed. The initial test suggested the system leaned towards cooperation, but this replication with a different starting order was too small to draw any conclusions. More tests are needed to see if the system's cooperative tendency is reliable.

Technical details

Research hypothesis

IVB NEUTRAL REPLICATION 3 (rotation=3)

Replication of exp-ivb-neutral with different agent rotation to test whether cooperation-as-default (IVB) is robust to starting position.

ORIGINAL RESULT: neutral framing → between-group diff=0.175, closer to cooperation (0.257) than competition (0.117). Group A dominant in all 3 conditions.

THIS REPLICATION: rotation=3 shifts round-robin starting agent, testing position artifact vs genuine IVB effect.

POOLED ANALYSIS: after all reps, compute one-sample t-test on neutral between-group diffs. If consistently > competition (0.117), IVB characterization tier achieved.
