Research hypothesis

Direct empirical test of the 2026-05-13 buzzword-audit inference (today's morning Q2 NS_LIC anchor projected ~6% concept-novel flat across all 4 phase-2 cells). Re-runs exp-paper9-phase2 identically (same 4 cells × N=5 = 20 runs, same NS+LIC prompts, same engine/model/substrate seed) but PRESERVES per-proposal JSONL traces so scripts/buzzword-recombination-audit.py can re-classify individual axis=value accepts as buzzword-recombination vs concept-novel. Pre-registered verdicts:

  • HOMOGENEOUS-CONCEPT: all 4 cells within 2× of mean concept-novel rate (i.e. 3-12% if mean ~6%) ⇒ paper9 V2 thesis «closure-placement = lexical-volume gate, orthogonal to concept-novelty» CONFIRMED. paper9 advances to PRE-READY with this corrected framing.
  • STRATIFIED-CONCEPT: any cell shows >3× difference from another at concept-novel level ⇒ paper9 V2 thesis FALSIFIED. Architecture DOES modulate concept independently. paper9 needs new central thesis.
  • AMBIGUOUS: CIs overlap broadly at N=5 ⇒ defer to N=10/cell follow-on.
