In plain language

This experiment tested if a system that tends to be cooperative even when neutral is robust to changes in how agents are initially positioned. The results were inconclusive because there weren't enough participants to draw any meaningful conclusions.

Technical details

Research hypothesis

IVB NEUTRAL REPLICATION 1 (rotation=1)

Replication of exp-ivb-neutral with different agent rotation to test whether cooperation-as-default (IVB) is robust to starting position.

ORIGINAL RESULT: neutral framing → between-group diff=0.175, closer to cooperation (0.257) than competition (0.117). Group A dominant in all 3 conditions.

THIS REPLICATION: rotation=1 shifts round-robin starting agent, testing position artifact vs genuine IVB effect.

POOLED ANALYSIS: after all reps, compute one-sample t-test on neutral between-group diffs. If consistently > competition (0.117), IVB characterization tier achieved.
